I had never experienced such numbness in my body... Even after long hours of sleep or an uncomfortable position, I had never lost so much the sensation in my feet, my knees, my hands, my head too, which seemed empty... Empty of desires, empty of emotions, empty of ideas... As if someone had hollowed out my body with a teaspoon. Maybe that's why I couldn't figure out where I was, because of the lack of inspiration.

Everything led me to believe that I was on board a plane, because I was on board a machine with a metal structure with small pentagon-shaped windows from which I could see clouds moving... I forced my body to climb a little further towards the windows... Well no, it was the clouds that were moving, we were actually flying over them, that was certain. But truly said, I could barely make out their shapes because we were going so fast. Yes, very quickly...

Moreover, I noticed that the more I looked through these kinds of portholes, the faster they passed by, so much so that I was no longer able to see them, so that they soon formed a confused whitish mass. Then I started to panic, having never seen such a thing on a plane ! (However, it wasn't for lack of traveling in my life, I did love it)

Without being able to understand what was happening outside this possibly supersonic machine, I reflexively examined its interior. Although it had an elongated shape, it did not contain the slightest seat and the ceiling seemed to be non-existent, since above my head I had nothing more and nothing less than the azure sky ! The entire sky was spread out above my head, and yet I didn't feel the slightest draft on my skin. At this speed, however, I would have already died of cold if nothing had protected me from the outside... However, I was indeed in a sort of half-capsule seeming to be moving at an impressive speed from now on. So what was the purpose of this journey on which I seemed to have been taken against my will ?

It was at this moment, as if someone had guessed my thoughts, that a voice rose from nowhere and everywhere at the same time, as if it were the ship itself which was speaking to me :

" Théophile, we know that humans are often hostile to what they don't know or are afraid of. That's why we had to put you to sleep to bring you here. It is a question of cooperating with us for the good of your own civilization... "
